Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

I am always looking for something yummy for my family that is easy and cheap.  This was super easy to make and soooo yummy!

What you need:

  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 lbs pork tenderloin
  • 1/2 c teriyaki sauce
  • 1 c chicken broth
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped (or 2 tsp minced garlic)
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper (not chili powder like the picture suggests...my bad!)
  • 1/2 large onion, diced
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

What to do:

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown tenderloins on all sides, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together teriyaki sauce, chicken broth, and brown sugar in a bowl. Stir in garlic, red chile pepper, onion, and black pepper.

Put browned tenderloins into slow cooker, cover with the teriyaki sauce mixture. Cook on High for about 4 hours, turning 2 to 3 times during the cooking time to ensure even doneness.

Remove tenderloins from the slow cooker and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. They will usually just fall apart because they are so tender.  If desired, spoon liquid over slices when serving.

I was not able to take a very good picture after it was done because it was so tender it fell apart as I pulled it out of the crockpot.  It is soooo good!!!

ENJOY!
